Gainsbourg recorded his thirteenth album Aux Armes Et Cætera in Kingston in January 1979, accompanied by the crew of Sly & ; Robbie, Jamaica’s most prominent rhythm section. This record, 100% reggae, brought Gainsbourg great success: Aux armes et cætera sold out to four hundred thousand copies. A series of concerts was scheduled with Jamaican musicians from Aux d’Armes. The concert program consists of tracks from the album Aux Arms Et Cætera, supplemented by three old songs re-orchestrated for the occasion: “Docteur Jekyll and Monsieur. Hyde”, “Harley Davidson” and “Bonnie and Clyde”. This albums captures the best of those concerts.
