The Old Site is Dead…

Short version: we’ve slimmed the website down to focus on the record label while we rebuild the bricks and mortar shop site properly.

Longer version: what started as a quick pandemic workaround grew into a beast—30,000+ titles and an antiquated way of keeping pace with distributor stock. Recently that meant we were refunding more orders than we were shipping. That’s not the Analogue October way, and it’s not the experience you deserve. So we’ve pressed pause on listing the shop’s usual stock online while we give the main site a massive overhaul.

This isn’t a tidy paint job. It’s a total rethink. What worked in 2020 doesn’t cut it as we edge toward the halfway mark to 2030 (typing that number still makes me blink). With my time split between the label and film work, finding the right window to do this properly mattered. We’ve found it, and the rebuild is now underway. The result will be a fuller, smarter experience—for you as a listener and for us as a small, stubbornly independent shop.

In the meantime, the actual shop is very much alive. It was built to bring back that old-skool retail vibe: sleeves in hand, conversations at the counter, new discoveries you didn’t know you were looking for. If you can’t find a title in the racks, Charlotte or I can tap straight into our suppliers’ live stock feed and order it for you.

What to expect right now

  • Label first online. You’ll see our releases and news front and centre.
  • No full shop catalogue online—for now. That returns when the new system is ready.
  • Special orders are easy. Ask in person; we’ll sort it.

What to expect later

  • Intelligence-led shopping. Live supplier feeds keep “Available to order” stock accurate and always current.
  • Automatic everything. Tracking, feedback, and updates flow without extra clicks, reducing redundancy and wasted steps.
  • Streamlined catalogue. Label, shop, and orders connected into one intelligent system—less searching, more discovering.

Thanks for sticking with us while we tame the beast. Come reacquaint yourself with the real shop—it’s been a while since we saw you. Bring a wishlist, bring a friend, or just bring your ears. We’ll handle the rest. After all, wasnt that what the shop was built upon?

See you soon…. we miss you!
